Just returned from a 16-day, 6700 mile trip on my 2008 Victory Vision Tour. I had no problems on the trip. I rode with three other riders. Two were on Gold Wings, and the other was riding a new H-D Ultra.
I had no problems with comfort on the Vision other than repositioning my butt every now and then. The other guys had to use pads on their seats.
When we stopped for fuel, my Vision always took less fuel to fill. I noticed that my Vision (with Stage One exhaust) sounded much healthier than the new Harley without the vibration. The Gold-Wings sounded like economy cars.
Just get the noise fixed in the tranny (it's ridiculous)! I just wanted to add that people come up and take pictures of my Vision with their cell phones a lot. If you want a bike that draws a lot of attention, get a Victory Vision.
Upgrades/Accessories: Lighted badges, an I-POD, Ness air-cleaner, and chrome front fender trim.
